Charlie Frog was tired of jumping
cos he said it hurt his back
so to stop the pain a-thumping
he rode a skateboard on a track.
This track was long, the track was vast
and wound around his lake
one day when going really fast
he ran down Mr Drake.
Such a fuss made Mrs Drake
about her partner's tumble
that all the members of the lake
gathered round to grumble.
They decided then and there
to settle Charlie's hash
by asking Mr Grizzly Bear
to give the frog a bash.
Mr Bear said yes he'd do it
in return for a honey pot
there should, he said, be nothing to it
if he used an old fly swat.
So Bear hid behind a tree
as Charlie came in sight
and slowly counted 1 2 3
and struck with all his might.
Charlie let out such a yell
and fell off in a muddle
but recovered quickly as he fell
into a muddy puddle.
Charlie was unhurt of course
for water was his home,
and now, filled with much remorse
he took his skateboard home.
Charlie hadn't realized just how
his skating had offended
but he knew his priority now
was to get his friendships mended.
So he went round one by one
to apologize to his mates
for being so very troublesome
and he gave them chocolates.
